Anthem Voice Cast Is Stacked From TV and Film to Hit Games

Here’s the confirmed voice cast behind Bioware’s upcoming (but also sort of already out?) game, Anthem. In a blog post on EA’s official website, some of the cast members discussed their characters’ personalities and motivations.

The confirmed voice cast highlighted in the aforementioned post includes Vik Sahay (Chuck) as Matthias Sumner, TJ Ramini (The Bill, NCIS, 24) as Owen Corley, Amy Okuda (Atypical, The Good Place, Brooklyn Nine-NineHow to Get Away With Murder, and The Man In The High Castle) as Ryssa Brin, Jack McBrayer (30 Rock, Wreck-It Ralph) as Amal, and Joe Lo Truglio (Superbad, Role Models, Pineapple Express, Brooklyn Nine-Nine) as Neeson Giles.

Each of the actors and actresses play characters with similar personality traits to those they’re known for performing as. For instance, McBrayer’s bright and eager character repertoire make him a perfect fit for Amal, who is enthusiastic but inexperienced.

Creative performance director and producer for Bioware, Caroline Livingstone has also taken to Twitter to announce a few other members of the cast. She even embellished the descriptions with additional character details. Her Tweet about Catherine Tate (Doctor WhoThe Office) voicing Max included the fact that she’s a businesswoman who won a bar in a game of cards.”

Last month, Livingstone announced that a few video game, voice acting industry veterans were stepping in as well. Annie Wersching, the voice of Tess in The Last of Us, voices a senior Corvus agent named Tassyn. Meanwhile, Sarah Elmaleh (Gone Home) and Ray Chase (Final Fantasy XV) voice the female and male player, respectively.

The official, public release date for Anthem is February 22, 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. However, those with an Origin Access Premier subscription can play the game already and those with an EA Access or Origin Access Basic subscription can play the game for a total of 10 hours before its public release date.
