After all these years, the makers of Cards Against Humanity are finally updating the core game. The update is certainly necessary, if you’ve playing the game for while now, you know that there is only so much the expansion packs can do to revamp the game. The new version is called Cards Against Humanity 2.0 and is a little bigger than the base game with 600 cards, from the original 550. It’s still up for $25 USD, so don’t worry about any added cost.
The update replaces “over 150 outdated jokes,” and it’s certainly about time. What with Trump hitting the oval office, the possibilities are endless. Hopefully they replaced a few of the Canadian based cards too and I can finally stop explaining where the Edmonton hooker card is from.
In addition to this much needed upgrade, comes an expansion called the College Pack. These are 30 cards directed at the academics of the world. Well, the ones working on their obsolete degrees anyway. With everything from the usual NSFW jokes to sweet irony of being in debt for the rest of your life despite a degree that’s supposed to help pay it off.
The College Pack even comes in a cleverly designed box that looks like it belongs on the English Major shelf. A Penguin Classic style cover with a painting at the top, a white band with a knock off logo, and the rest in black for the title, Cards Against Humanity. This uber exciting deck will let you explore your sexuality and cost about as much as a drink from Starbucks, $7 USD.
If you really like the idea of getting both the College Pack and the updated core version, there is available a Back to School Bundle. This bundle not only includes the 2.0 version and College Pack, but also a dorm poster (nothing says ‘art’ like porn), a protractor (for that Mathematics degree you’ll use to get into accounting), a laptop sticker (stand out like everyone else), a condom (make good choices), and a dental dam (useful for keeping your sex life clean and fun).
The College Pack, upgraded edition, and Bundle are all available now on the Cards Against Humanity website. Go forth and make those memes.
