Pokémon Pikachu Coin Bank

This Pika-bank will keep all your coins safe.

This adorable Pokémon Pikachu coin bank is bound to win the hearts of any Pokémon fan, especially when a Pikachu comes out to take your coin.

At the top is a yellow button and if you press it, a tiny Pikachu will peek out of the box and take the coin you placed in the slot. He also talks and laughs with over 200 different phrases.

If you don’t feel like hearing all 200, there is an off-switch for the sound at the bottom of the box. This is also where the “coin release door” is, just in case you’ve already donated all of the coins in your house and still want to see Pikachu do his thing.

The box requires batteries to operate properly, 2 AA to be exact, which will not be included. So if it is a gift, come prepared. Speaking of which, though it says in the description that this product is exclusive to the US, ThinkGeek will still ship it to addresses outside of the US.

If you’re thinking this is a great gift for a small child in your life, keep in mind that ThinkGeek recommends this product for ages 5 and up. Besides, under that age and you usually risk your child finding out how gross coins taste.

Nonetheless, this Pika-bank will keep all your coins safe and in one convenient box. Priced at $29.99 USD, this box is relatively small with a Poké Ball painted on the front. Small as in 4.75″ wide, 4″ deep, and 3.5″ tall.

The entire box is red, save for the button and Pikachu. The top is divided in half, one half for the button and the other for Pikachu to pop out of. On the left side of the box is a small ring of holes for the speaker. The Pikachu is painted in all of the appropriate colors, mainly yellow with black tipped ears, and black eyes and facial features.
