Merchoid has some of the best Christmas sweaters around and these three are certainly no different. In this series of Retro Nintendo Christmas sweaters we have Super Mario Kart, Super Mario, and the first Legend of Zelda. Keep in mind that all of these sweaters are not knit but rather long sleeve polyester with a crew neck.
Super Mario Kart has a black background with mostly red patterning. The first row has the name of the game in silver metallic lettering, the second is a line of the attack items banana, green shell, and red shell.
The middle of the sweater has the words “here we goooo!!!!” That’s four ‘o’s, four exclamation marks, and small yellow lightening bolts to bookend the line. At the bottom of the shirt we have some favorite characters like Bowser, Princess Peach, Luigi, Mario, Toad, and Yoshi.
The Super Mario sweater is one the lighter side with a grey background, though perhaps not the best color decision when some of the text is white. At the top of the pattern we have a series of gold coins. They surround a small Christmas tree that seems to be coming out of a pipe.

Below that are figures of the classic Mario jumping, made larger in the middle of the shirt. In this row is a small detail of red mushrooms. Below the larger Marios is the white lettering “Ho! Ho! Ho! It’s-A-Me!” At the bottom of the pattern we have a row of Christmas stockings, gold stars, and plenty more coins.
Last but not least we have the Zelda sweater in usual near-blinding green. At the top of this sweater’s pattern are various Link poses from the first Legend of Zelda game. At the centre Link holds up a piece of the Triforce, to his left and right are Links holding up their shields in profile and from the front.
Under this are the words “It’s dangerous to go alone!” In the middle is the old man that says that line in the game. He is surrounded by fire, rupees, and potions. Before him sits the Master Sword and Link himself. At the bottom of the sweater are the words “take this” with repeated Master Swords and life hearts.
