News leaked yesterday of an upcoming Fortnite Monopoly game coming our way soon. But that’s apparently not the only Fortnite toy in the works. Fortnite Nerf blasters are officially headed our way next year too.
Hasbro is the toy company that owns both the Monopoly brand and Nerf. So it’s obvious now that the toy manufacturer has a deal in place with Epic Games to use the Fortnite brand across a variety of items.
IGN broke the news of the Hasbro and Fortnite collaboration. The toy manufacturer told the outlet that the Fortnite Nerf blasters “will immerse fans into the player-versus-player action of the game, letting them play out the Battle Royale in real-world settings with blasters and accessories that emulate the onscreen battles Fortnite is known for.”
This isn’t the first collaboration that Hasbro’s Nerf brand has made lately. The line of guns will expand further next year with a blaster inspired by Overwatch‘s D.VA. The D.VA blaster is in addition to the Nerf Rival Overwatch Reaper Wight Edition Blaster that was displayed at San Diego Comic-Con.
Fortnite is a game that features switchable skins for players and not actual characters. So it’s likely that the Fortnite Nerf blasters will simply model some of the battle royale title’s more prolific guns. We’ll have to wait and see what Epic Games and Hasbro have decided are the best ones to send our way. The first of the Fortnite Nerf blaster set is schedule to hit stores in Spring of 2019.
In addition to the Fortnite Nerf blasters, Hasbro also confirmed some additional details in regards to Fortnite Monopoly. The game will be available at most major retailers as of October 1st.
