Potential Far Cry 6 Leak Hints to E3 Reveal

With E3 2019 under a month a way, it’s the time of year where leaks become more prominent (I’m looking at you, Walmart Canada). 4chan may have given us just that, as an anonymous user on their site appears to have posted Ubisoft’s complete roster of studios and everything they’re working on, including a Far Cry 6 leak.

According to the Far Cry 6 leak post, it would be Ubisoft Toronto as the lead studio helming the project with Ubisoft Reflections assisting. Toronto previously helped Ubisoft Montreal with development on 2018’s Far Cry 5. Montreal was the lead studio on 5 and developed it’s spin-off, Far Cry New Dawn. Montreal could have simultaneously working on 6, making a potential E3 2019 showing possible.

Other notable titles on the Far Cry 6 leak list include the long rumored Assassin’s Creed Kingdom. Though we likely won’t see anything on it next month as Ubisoft is still pushing Odyssey DLC for the rest of 2019.

There’s also Rabbids Kingdom 2, which could very well be Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle 2. The first game exceeded expectations for Nintendo and Ubisoft, both critically and commercially.

Here’s the complete list of studios and what they’re working on according to the 4chan leak:

  • Ivory Tower: The Crew 2
  • Massive Entertainment: The Division 2
  • Ubisoft Annecy: The Division 2
  • Ubisoft Barcelona: VR Projects
  • Ubisoft Belgrade: Ghost Recon Breakpoint DLC, Ghost Recon Wildlands DLC, The Crew 2 DLC
  • Ubisoft Berlin: Far Cry 5.5
  • Ubisoft Bucharest: Assassin’s Creed Kingdom, Ghost Recon Breakpoint
  • Ubisoft Kiev: Trials Rising, Assassin’s Creed Kingdom (PC port)
  • Ubisoft Leamington: Assisting Ubisoft Reflections
  • Ubisoft Milan: Rabbids Kingdom 2
  • Ubisoft Montpellier: Beyond Good and Evil 2
  • Ubisoft Montreal: Assassin’s Creed Kingdom
  • Ubisoft Odesa: Assisting Kiev
  • Ubisoft Paris: Ghost Recon Breakpoint
  • Ubisoft Reflections: Far Cry 6, Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Skull and Bones (vehicle physics and simulations)
  • Ubisoft Shanghai: Skull and Bones
  • Ubisoft Singapore: Skull and Bones
  • Ubisoft Sofia: Assassin’s Creed Kingdom
  • Ubisoft Toronto: Far Cry 6

We don’t know what Ubisoft plans to unveil within their E3 2019 presentation. But if they already have a new Far Cry game lined up as the Far Cry 6 leak suggests, that’s a good start. Throw in a Mario + Rabbids sequel, our closest look ever at Beyond Good and Evil 2, and a full blowout on Ghost Recon Breakpoint and you’ve got yourself a hell of a starting point for a show.

We’ll find out if the leak is true or not on Monday, June 10th.
