Fortnite World Cup Will Feature $30,000,000 in Prize Money

During the lead up to the Fortnite World Cup *eligible players can participate in ten weekly Online Open qualifiers starting April 13, 2019 and ending June 16, 2019, with $1,000,000 on the line each week.

From there, the top 100 Solo players and the top 50 Duo teams will compete during the Fortnite World Cup Finals in New York City during July 26-28. Everyone participating in the Fortnite World Cup is guaranteed to walk away with at least $50,000. The winner of the solo championship will leave with $3,000,000. In total there will be $30,000,000 in prize money available.

In addition to the Battle Royale competitions, there will be other “events featuring custom challenges in different modes and formats” in the hopes of appealing to an even wider audience. Plus, this will keep the action varied throughout the day.

But the Fortnite World Cup isn’t the only way to win big. Throughout 2019 Epic will continue awarding $1,000,000 in cash tournaments through the end of the year across a variety of game modes and formats.

Not only does this keep things fresh, but it also reminds people that Fortnite has more to offer besides its famous battle royale mode. This has become increasingly true as Epic has rolled out more limited-time events and introduced Creative mode.

In the coming weeks, Epic will share more information regarding the Fortnite World Cup. Keep an eye on Fortnite‘s social media accounts for information on how you can attend the event as a spectator or stream the event from the comfort of your home.
