Xbox And PS4 Will Have Free Online Multiplayer Weekend

In anticipation of the winter holidays for the smaller humans of America, both Xbox and the PS4 are going to host a free online multiplayer weekend. Microsoft will be beginning the All-Access event at 12:01 am PT today, until 11:59 pm PT Sunday, February 19th.

It’s a whole four days that online multiplayer is completely unlocked for both the Xbox 360 and Xbox One, no subscription to Xbox Live Gold required. It’s so nice that Microsoft hasn’t completely left behind the 360 quite yet. However, only Xbox One players can download and play NBA 2K17 and Rocket League for free. But not to keep, it’s only for the duration of the event.Xbox And PS4 Will Have Free Online Multiplayer Weekend

That said, these kind of events aren’t exactly new to Sony either. All the more to entice us to buy that pretty PlayStation Plus subscription. Sony’s event runs only on the PS4, but beats Microsoft in length, as it will be begin 12:01 a.m. PT tomorrow, Feb. 17, all the way until 11:59 p.m. PT on Thursday, Feb. 23.

A whole seven days instead of four! Of course, a subscription isn’t needed to get in on this good deal either. Unfortunately, Sony does come up a little short, as there will be no free games to play unlike Microsoft’s offer.

Will you be taking advantage of both offers? Let us know in the comments below!
