The hype train has arrived! Not only do we get some Mass Effect: Andromeda multiplayer gameplay, but more details on how it all works. Basically it’s like Mass Effect 3‘s multiplayer, only with less Reapers. A four player co-op, you can choose weapon and abilities, both unrestricted by race. It looks like they improved on the gameplay a little, it certainly looks smoother, but we can’t know until we actually play.
There will be 5 maps at launch (Firebase Zeo, Firebase Icebreaker, Firebase Magma, Firebase Derelict, and Firebase Sandstorm), and 25 characters to choose from; thankfully the characters are from both the Milky Way and Andromeda galaxy, in case you want to stick to familiar favorites. There are 40 plus weapons to choose from as well, including oldies like Black Widow, Venom (my personal favorite), Mattock, and Carnifex.
The trailer also gives details about the strike team missions, which are for those of us who don’t like or don’t have the time for multiplayer. The mode reminds me a lot of the Dragon Age war table, where you sent your minions I mean friends – forth to reap the rewards of particular areas. This way, you don’t have to bother with multiplayer in Mass Effect if you don’t want to, but remember that you still need to be online to access it.
Will you be playing tons of multiplayer in Andromeda? Does this trailer make it look like fun? Let us know in the comments below!
