All those fun rumors that Microsoft will be unveiling the Scorpio to Digital Foundry tomorrow are starting to look more and more like fact.
There isn’t much more information than that. Amazon lists nothing we don’t already know about the Scorpio, like the sexy 6 teraflops of GPU, “true” 4k, VR, and that it will be a part of the Play Anywhere system.
Though I don’t remember VR being a part of the list. I know Microsoft showed off Minecraft on the Oculus at E3 2016, but that was hooked up to a PC.
Will the Scorpio be compatible with the Oculus too, or will it be something else? Especially with the trouble Oculus has been going through recently, it doesn’t seem like the ideal choice for Microsoft right now.
Nonetheless, we’ll be hearing about it all in detail really soon. Hopefully all our questions will be answered and we’ll even have a price tag to share with you.
In the meantime, you can set yourself up to get emailed when the Scorpio is finally available on Amazon or Microsoft.
Personally, I’m going to wait it out and see what games Microsoft is going to present at E3 2017. Their exclusive list is woefully short right now, so I’m hoping they’ll blow me away this time around.
I’m ready for a pretty indie title, or a new RPG. Either would charm me towards buying the Scorpio more than what the console can do.
But what would charm you into buying the Scorpio? What do you think the VR bit is all about? Would VR factor into the console’s worth? Let us know in the comments below!
