Prey Demo Opens April 27th For PS4 And Xbox One
No PC, I’m afraid. Bethesda announced today that come April 27, Prey will have a one hour demo for free on the PS4 and Xbox One. This comes about a week before the game’s global release on May 5th on the latter consoles and PC, to be clear.
The demo will be the first hour of the game, dubbed “opening hour” by Bethesda. It will put you in the shoes of the main character, Morgan Yu, as they start their first day on the job.
Though what job exactly isn’t made entirely clear, as things rapidly go wrong on your assigned spaceship. Soon enough, you’ll be hunted by aliens.
Hopefully the demo includes at least a few of the special powers we’ve heard so much about, especially Mimic. I mean, I know exactly what I’m going to do. I will turn myself into a teacup and see how far I can roll myself around the space station. I want to know what will happen when I break; do I die or just become human again? More importantly, will enemies attack me while I’m in the form of an inanimate object? Does it matter if I’m moving?
So many questions, and I can’t wait for them to be answered! Even if they seem to be a little focused on the less plot-important aspect of Prey. What are you looking forward to in the demo and game? Let us know in the comments below!
