Black Desert Online Comes to Steam May 24th

Pearl Abyss has recently announced that their game Black Desert Online will be arriving on Steam come May 24th. You will be able to play it directly on Steam, after you’ve registered on the game. It is a short process via the game’s website, once that is done before you can launch the game properly. Then you’ll be joining the same servers as everyone else, regardless of where they purchased the game.

The only downside to the Steam launch is that if you already have an account with Black Desert Online, you will not be able to transfer it to the Steam version. Rather unfortunate, if you prefer Steam versions and have already invested so much time in the game elsewhere.

However, if you are new to the game, or looking to start anew, this Steam version seems like the perfect opportunity. No price has been listed yet, but the game’s website lists the lowest price (for the standard package) as $9.99.

Black Desert Online was quite a hit when it came out last year, acclaimed as one of the most beautiful and immersive MMOs among the rest, some that are still upcoming. You can choose almost any role you like, from barbarian to ninja and customize to your heart’s content. As usual for most MMOs, there is always a great deal to do: from hunting monsters and laying siege to castles, to fishing and cooking your own meals. Of course, there is so much more! If the game looks good to you, be sure to check out that Steam page or the website itself.
