Starbreeze studios has announced that they will be conducting a livestream on Twitch May 10th at 9am PT that will feature Overkill’s The Walking Dead, Psychonauts 2, System Shock 3, Payday 2, RAID: World War II, and Deliver Us the Moon. There will be trailers, previews, and even a discussion panel called “Veterans of the Industry” that will feature Warren Spector, Tim Schafer, and Bo Anderson.
After all this time, it’s finally good to know we’re going to hear more about these games. It’s been quite some time since we’ve heard anything about The Walking Dead and System Shock 3 to be sure.
Overkill has been marketing their Walking Dead game as the ultimate FPS co-op experience that won’t just be about shooting down as many zombies as possible. Role-playing will play a role, as well survival and stealth as you make your way through the invested lands of Washington.
System Shock 3 is being developed by Warren Spector, Terri Brosius, and other ex-Looking Glass employees (the original studio that made the first two System Shock games). Not much else has been said beyond “coming soon” and photo of a face seemingly made of circuit boards. Fans of the series will certainly be thrilled to see more of this game and what it will do for the series.
Payday 2, if it is ringing any bells, is one of the only FPS games to make it the Nintendo Switch. It has thus far looked like any other somewhat mindless shooter out there, but perhaps at this presentation it will have the chance to shine among the other games.
Overkill’s The Walking Dead is one of the year’s most exciting games, and hopefully, it turns out to be as good as it looks.
