Skyrim Creation Club Available Now On Steam

Despite some controversy on the subject of paid mods, Bethesda is still going strong with their Creation Club. The Steam page is now live and you can purchase a variety of packs with Skyrim Creation Club credits. The packs start at $8 USD for 750 credits, then $15 for 1500 credits, $25 for 3000 credits, and finally $40 for 5500 credits.Skyrim Creation Club Available Now On Steam

The small preview shows that some of the mods available include Mud Crab armor, Oblivion Ruin’s Edge bow, Crusader Armor set (with the Sword of the Crusader), and the Survival mode for both Fallout 4 and Skyrim. No clear details on the latter for Skyrim, though it is assumed it will be similar to Fallout 4’s version.

Once you’ve purchased your tier of credits on Creation Club, you’ll be able to go into the game and download the mods you want. That said, it seems that the main copy of the Skyrim hasn’t been updated yet to include Creation Club. It will likely be up soon enough, if it isn’t already.

If you don’t already know, Creation Club is a place where you can select mods made by Bethesda and a few outsourced developers. All of which were studiously approved and went through the paces of being properly compatible with the main game. The same will be applied to any mods that are submitted to Bethesda in the future.

As such, the mods are likely to be censored and made appropriate for the main game’s rating. Likely made advertising safe as well, depending on Bethesda’s policies. Though Bethesda has obviously paid those that they employed to make the mods, making your own mods and trying to sell it to Bethesda might be unsuccessful. It seems the company is keen on keeping Creation Club as officially sanctioned as possible, more like DLCs than mods in the end.
