Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite Bringing Winter Soldier, Black Widow and Venom Next Month

A soldier, a spy and a Symbiote walk into a bar…

Capcom has announced a trio of new characters coming to Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite next month. And it’s a pretty impressive bunch.

Again, the game is pulling from the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the most part with its character selection. Winter Soldier and Black Widow are quite prominent in the film universe these days. And while Venom isn’t a part of Marvel’s movie universe, he too has a film that is currently in production under the umbrella of Sony. So we’re still seeing a form of brand synergy here.

Bucky Barnes’ Winter Soldier specializes in ground combat. He features special moves that can blast his opponents across the screen. As well as projectiles that can rebound from the walls and floors to nail unsuspecting opponents. He also utilizes his cybernetic arm as a metal shield which anchors the character and allow him to take absolutely no damage.

Natasha Ramanova’s Black Window can handle bouts both on the ground and mid-air. She jumps extremely well and has a plethora of projectiles to keep enemies on their toes. She also can go hand-to-hand efficiently with the use of her electric batons.

Eddie Brock’s Venom brings with him a unique shape shifting abilities that proves to generate an impressive move set. Just watching some of the combos the Symbiote suit can generate within today’s new trailer is impressive to say the least. He’s a character that seems to carry sheer brutality as well as finesse.

If you’re an owner of Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite’s 2017 Character Pass, you’ll get Winter Soldier, Black Window and Venom free of charge. You’ll also unlock each of the characters’ premium costumes upon purchase.

They’ll join the previously released DLC characters of Black Panther, Sigma and Monster Hunter on December 5th. Or, if you prefer to purchase the characters individually, that’s an option as well.
