Aqua Moto Racing Utopia Jumps to Switch Next Month
Fan of Wave Race and Hydro Thunder? Then check this out.
Now that we’re in the dead of winter here in the States, do you feel as though you’re longing for some summer fun? Have you spent hours of your life within the Wave Race and Hydro Thunder franchises, wishing there were newer editions? Well Bigben Interactive has got your back. They’re bringing their arcade jet ski racer Aqua Moto Racing Utopia to Switch next month.
There isn’t much information on the game available yet. Which is odd due to it being scheduled for release next month. But the trailer, while only about 45 seconds, looks like it could be quite a fun time.
Aqua Moto Racing Utopia doesn’t skimp on the features either. Developed by Zordix, the game will house 7 different game modes. They include Championship, Freestyle Championship, Custom Race, Freestyle, Time Trial, Leisure and an array of Party Games.
Zordix says the game will take players across 10 exotic environments based upon real places. Jet Skiers will ride through the Amazon, Greece, the Mediterranean coast, a mangrove swamp, the tropics, an Atlantic port and more.
There will be 50 different races to experience across 12 championship. They span both the runabout and freestyle divisions. You’ll have 44 different jet skies of both the stand-up and sit-down variety to challenge your rivals with.
There are 28 unique stunts to pull off in the game too. Aqua Moto Racing Utopia allows for four player local split-screen so you can show off your moves to your friends. Or, you can go compete online in a field of up to 8 racers.
The trailer only shows a first-person view, so it’s unclear as of yet whether different camera options will be available. Aqua Moto Racing Utopia certainly looks fun though, so we’re anxious to hear more leading up to its release on Switch in February. The game will be available via retail and the Nintendo eShop for $39.99.
