Red Dead Redemption 2 Delayed to October

As they have a habit of doing, Rockstar Games is making us wait even longer. The studio confirmed this morning that they will be delaying Red Dead Redemption 2 into October.Red Dead Redemption 2 - Riding through a winter landscape.

While the news is certainly disappointing, the studio was specific as to when we would actually see the game hit our consoles: October 26th, 2018. The game was already delayed once and was rumored to be striving for a release date of June 8th. That was never confirmed by Rockstar though. They officially only mentioned Q1 or Q2 of 2018.

It was nice of Rockstar to give all the other publishers ample time to get their games as far away from October 26th as possible. When Red Dead Redemption 2 lands in October it will assuredly dominate the conversation within the gaming industry.

To soften the blow of today’s news, Rockstar released a fresh batch of screenshots from the sandbox western. They’re absolutely gorgeous too. You can take a gander at them via their website here.

On a slightly related note, Rockstar Games has partnered with Humble Bundle to raise assistance for the Rainforest Alliance. Through February 12th at 1:00 p.m., fans of some iconic Rockstar titles can get up to 9 of their games for a steal on PC.

For a $1 donation, you’ll get Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Max Payne and Manhunt. However, if you donate more than the current average (which is $9.74 as of now), you’ll also get yourself Bully: Scholarship Edition, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, L.A. Noire and Max Payne 2.

But if you really dig deep into your couch cushions and are able to donate $15 to the fund, you’ll get all of those titles but with Max Payne 3, Grand Theft Auto IV and the L.A. Noire DLC bundle included too.

$15 isn’t much to get yourself 9 awesome Rockstar titles to help tide you over into October. You can find information on the deal via the link here.
