Capcom has announced that the third season of Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition will include Blanka on February 20, 2018. In the trailer below, we see Blanka’s many electrifying powers, stunning character design, and a few voice clips.
His story mode will begin during a peaceful time in his life. Blanka is living with his mother and she is helping him adapt to normal society. He is doing very well and seems to have found happiness in simple pleasures. That is until a salesman comes around and offers fame.
The man wants to make dolls in Blanka’s likeness, mass produce them to be integrated into every household. There is a catch, however, he needs Blanka’s consent first. Will being famous help or hinder Blanka? Is this salesman to be trusted with Blanka’s future? How will Blanka react if it all falls apart? We will have to wait another week to find out the answers to all these questions.
Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition is available now on the PS4 and PC. However, if you have the original Street Fighter V, Arcade Edition is a free update that comes with 12 new fighters, Extra Battle Mode (extra challenges for those looking to spend Fight Money and earn experience points, special titles, and exclusive costumes), updated visuals, selectable V-Triggers, and Team Battle Mode.
That said, if you have the Arcade Edition as a free update, then characters and content from seasons 1, 2, and 3 must be purchased separately. Each season cost approximately $30.99 USD.
Other characters included in season three are Sakura (Street Fighter Alpha 2), Falke, Cody (Street Fighter Alpha 3), G, and Sagat (Street Fighter). Falke and G will be brand new playable characters to the series. Falke appeared in Ed’s story mode, but G is unknown thus far. He has a likeness to Abraham Lincoln, with a tall black hat and red cape.
