Trailblazers Co-op Gameplay Trailer
Trailblazers is an arcade racing game that features both online multiplayer and couch co-op modes. In the latter, the game will be played using a split screen with up to four players. There a variety of racing modes players can choose from, like the 3v3 in which players paint the track with their team’s color as much as possible to win. You must also capture “key areas to dynamically change the racing line.” The longer your paint trail, the more boost you will have to reach higher speeds.
Trailblazers has a single player mode too, with plenty of challenges and AIs to race against. A story is involved as well, sectioned off into chapters and objectives. There you can truly enjoy the dulcet music of a “retro-futuristic soundtrack” featuring songs from Skope, Derevolutions, A.Skillz and more. Each track is carefully designed by BAFTA award-winning artist Will Milton. Judging by the trailer, Trailblazers has plenty to boast about with the lush tropical scenes, rocky canyons, ancient runes, and so much more.
You’ll be able to choose from a variety of characters as well, each with their own style of driving and skills to help you win. They are all as futuristic as the cars they drive, ranging from “psychotic robots” and aliens to plain ol’ humans in cyberpunk gear. You can choose the car you want to drive as well, like what looks to be a souped-up Cadillac, a formula 1 rocket, and a re-designed T-Bird.
If you happen to be in the market for a co-op racing game, Trailblazers is a great option. It may not have as many modes and features as Mario Kart, but painting the track and team-based racing is very unique. Trailblazers is also downright beautiful, the colors pop, and each horizon is bright and spectacular.
Trailblazers is coming out May 2018 on the PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. The latter making couch co-op that much easier.
