There have been plenty of rumors swirling lately that Nintendo would feature a Fortnite Switch reveal within its Nintendo Direct presentation. That rumor is looking like it’s becoming more and more of a reality for the June 11th E3 Nintendo Direct.
The Nintendo Switch, other than Android devices, is essentially the last modern gaming locale that doesn’t have Fortnite running on it. Epic Games successfully ported the PC title to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in September. Then earlier this year the developers released an impressively accurate version of Fortnite Battle Royale to iOS devices with Android compatibility coming later down the line.
Players that connect to Fortnite Battle Royale via an Epic Games Account will see their game status transfer from system to system. Should you primarily play on Xbox One but want to boot up a game of Fortnite Battle Royale on the road via your phone, you can do so with all of the same bells and whistles at your disposal. Players can also tackle the game’s weekly challenges across multiple systems too.
Many people are of the opinion that Fortnite on a touchscreen phone isn’t exactly ideal. So a Nintendo Switch version of the game should be the perfect way to take your battle royale gaming on the go. Let’s all keep our fingers crossed that the game will be announced on June 11th during the Nintendo Direct and drop later that same day.
