Assassin’s Creed Odyssey DLC Plans, Trailer

Ubisoft has announced their Assassin’s Creed Odyssey DLC plans following the game’s October launch. The publisher is calling it the largest amount of content ever.

Scott Phillips, game director on Odyssey, narrated today’s trailer and walked us through Ubisoft’s plans for the game post launch. Phillips confirmed that the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey DLC headed our way will be delivered episodically, comparing it to “a TV show season premiere or catch[ing] up on streaming services.” He considers it “the most ambitious post-launch support ever.”

Those that purchase the Season Pass for Odyssey will get 2 story driven DLC packs as well as Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered. Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered will arrive in March 2019, and includes all of the title’s DLC as well as Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation. Assassin’s Creed 3 will also be sold separately for those uninterested in the Season Pass.

The story packs are entitled Legacy of the First Blade and The Fate of Atlantis. Legacy of the First Blade begins episodically in December and will “introduce players to the first hero to wield the iconic hidden blade, changing the course of history. Players will learn more about the backstory of the Assassins and why they choose to fight from the shadows.

The Fate of Atlantis is slated to begin its episodes in spring 2019. Ubisoft states that you’ll “confront godly creatures and uncover the secrets of the legendary sunken city. In a surprising saga filled with twists and turns, players will get even closer to Greek mythology and the First Civilization.”

If you decide not to splurge on the Season Pass there’s still a bunch of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey DLC coming your way. There will be free episodic questlines titled The Lost Tales of Greece. Each week will bring new in-game events. And just like Origins, the Discovery Tour will be making a return so that you can explore ancient Greece at your leisure. Ubisoft has also confirmed that a free New Game Plus mode is coming, and new monsters and mythical creatures will be introduced.
