Red Dead Redemption 2 Launch Trailer Has Arrived
It’s short but effective. Rockstar Games has dropped their Red Dead Redemption 2 launch trailer this morning. And after watching, it feels like the 26th can’t come soon enough.
The Red Dead Redemption 2 launch trailer begins with Arthur Morgan (the man we’ll be controlling in the upcoming western) talking with Dutch van der Linde, the leader of the van der Linde Gang. Dutch tells Arthur that “One more big score we got enough money to leave. What do you think?”
Cue the “Rockstar Games presents” screen, followed by the van der Linde Gang riding off for what looks to be their biggest heist yet. But it doesn’t seem as though it will be their last as Dutch suggests. The Red Dead Redemption 2 launch trailer makes it feel as though there’s always “one more big score” that Dutch van der Linde is eyeing.
This is emphasized by Arthur in another exchange. Dutch says to him, “Trust me, Arthur. Just one more…” Morgan then cuts him off, yelling at him exhaustively that “There’s always a God damn train!”
There are a few snippets of footage of the van der Linde Gang robbing various trains interspersed throughout the Red Read Redemption 2 launch trailer. We’ll likely be taking down quite a few locomotives in the game and riding off into the sunset. With each one looking like its building further tension between Arthur and Dutch.
We then see the van der Linde gang sitting around a fire singing and dancing. The stakes are raised when a lawman next tells their leader “I don’t want to kill all this folks, Dutch. Just you.”
We’re just about a week out from one of the gaming industry’s biggest releases in years. Every release from Rockstar Games is an seismic event, and next Friday will certainly be no different.
