Microsoft has announced the Xbox’s Games with Gold November slate this morning. The four pack of games is highlighted by the inclusion of Battlefield 1 just ahead of Battlefield 5’s release on November 20th.
Battlefield 1 will be available for Xbox One owners as of November 1st and will be free to Xbox Live Gold owners through the end of the month. The first-person shooter took the series back to World War 1 and was considered a success by fans. It holds a Metacritic average of 87.
The second title coming to Xbox One this month is the minimalistic flight game, Race the Sun. It originally came to Steam in 2013 and PlayStation 4 in 2014. It finally landed on Xbox One last year. Developed by Flippfly, it’s an endless runner of sorts, and was well reviewed for the Xbox One. It sits at a Metascore of 84 on the console. Race the Sun will be available from November 16th through December 15th.
We’re getting yet another Assassin’s Creed title via the Games with Gold November lineup. This month we get the title that started it all in, well, Assassin’s Creed. The first installment is regarded as one of the weakest in the franchise. But if you’re curious about how the Animus project started it all, you can download Assassin’s Creed on Xbox 360 or Xbox One from November 1st through November 15th.
The final game of the month is another old one. The now closeted Visceral Games developed Dante’s Inferno for EA and released it on PlayStation 3 and Xbox One in 2010. It’s a single-player hack and slash adventure that’s based upon the Divine Comedy. It’s available on Xbox 360 and Xbox One November 16th through November 30th.
That’s a decent Games with Gold November offering coming our way. Most of us will likely already have our hands full as we explore the west like so many others. But if you’re a Xbox Live Gold member, you might as well pickup these freebies for good measure.
