World War Z Release Date Is Set for April 16

World War Z is officially set to release on April 16, 2019. You can check out the carnage in the trailer below where things go from stealth to rapid fire really quickly.

You can preorder from the game’s official website for the platform of your choice. World War Z will be available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Those who preorder will get the Lobo Weapon Pack for free.

This isn’t your survival horror take on the zombie apocalypse. Instead, things are focussed on fast-paced gameplay. World War Z is a four-player, cooperative third-person shooter that will have you mowing down endless swarms of zombies.

These hordes are designed to function like real crowds. This means they’ll get stuck in narrow corridors and start climbing over each other to reach players on higher levels (hopefully, the latter doesn’t apply to most crowds in real life but, you never know). According to the official game website, “Hordes become increasingly difficult to defeat and behave like single entity bosses as players progress through the game.”

You won’t be going it alone nor will you be stuck in one location. World War Z spans a variety of regions including Moscow, New York, and Jerusalem.

Inspired by the World War Z movie of the same name, you can expect this game to explore new storylines and characters from the existing world while taking on various missions.

Take your time leveling up six unique classes of characters, each with their own styles and skills: Gunslinger, Hellraiser, Slasher, Medic, Fixer, and Exterminator.

Get ready to gun down endless waves of the undead when World War Z launches on PS4, Xbox, and PC on April 16, 2019. If you’re a PC player please note that World War Z is exclusive to Epic Games Store.
