Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Launch Trailer Puts Sekiro’s Powers on Display
Those looking for a better look at Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice before the game’s release next week have finally got it. Activision has published a Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice launch trailer this morning, giving players an up-close look at the titular character in action.
The Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice launch trailer is riddled with combat against foes that seem impossibly large to tackle. Right off the bat, the footage opens with Sekiro in the midst of combat against a huge bull type beast that attacks with a large wooden beam lit with fire across its horns.
During the course of the Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice launch trailer, we see some of the abilities that Sekiro is capable of within FromSoftware’s game. During the bullfight we see Sekiro vanish as the enemy charges. Only to reappear behind the creature after it’s past.
Later, we see Sekiro in a one on one bout versus the samurai that holds the Lord that Sekiro is sworn to protect. Here, Sekiro loses the battle and drops in death. “It seems fates still doesn’t want you dead” a voiceover rings. Pink flower petals then appear and rain over Sekiro as the character demonstrates his resuscitative powers. He stands and continues the fight.
The entirety of the Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice launch trailer is a worthwhile watch if you’re on the fence about committing to the game. The video is loaded with various enemies – some ginormous while others are likely typical grunts. With each being a showpiece for how Sekiro can take them out in brutal fashion.
The game’s platforming and stealth mechanics get some time in the spotlight as well. This, of course, includes Sekiro’s grappling hook device that is no doubt a core component of traversal within the game.
FromSoftware and Activison’s Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is sneaking up on us quick. The title drops for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on March 22nd.
