As we get closer and closer to E3 2019, all the big time players (that are showing up) are staking out there spots. Today, it was Square Enix’s turn. The publisher confirmed they’ll be amongst the big boys in Los Angeles this June, announcing that the Square Enix E3 2019 press conference has been scheduled for Sunday, June 9th.

Now that we know a Square Enix E3 2019 press conference is official, our minds immediately jump to figuring out what the publisher will be showing off at the event. Babylon’s Fall was revealed at last year’s show, so we’ll likely see the progress that Platinum Games has made on it over the last twelve months.
Battalion 1944 should be coming to consoles this year, making an appearance this year possible. A project is in the works at Deck Nine for Square Enix too. And People Can Fly, former co-developers on the Gears of War series, have a shooter coming to the publisher’s brand that we may get a reveal of too.
The two titles that fans are really hoping to get glimpses of at the E3 are the Final Fantasy 7 Remake and The Avengers Project. The former was said to be evolving out of the early concept stages around the time of last year’s show. Making another look under the curtain a possibility in June.
As for The Avengers Project, no one really knows where the game stands. It’s being developed by both the Tomb Raider teams at Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montréal. But other than knowing it exists, we’ve got little else. Hopefully 2019, following the undoubted success of Avengers: Endgame, will be the time to let this version of Marvel’s iconic team shine.
We won’t have to wait all that much longer to find out what the publisher has up their sleeve. The Square Enix E3 2019 press conference will take place on Sunday, June 10th at 6:00 p.m. Pacific, 9:00 p.m. Eastern.
