Epic announced this morning that their Epic Games Store Epic Mega Sale has gone live. The promotion discounts a ton of popular titles, and cuts prices on a bunch of other games that aren’t even out yet too.
The main highlight of the Epic Mega Sale is that every game on the digital store listing over $14.99 will received at minimum at $10 discount. On top of that, Epic states that the sale comes at no cost to the publisher or developer. It’s purely out of the goodness of Epic’s rich and golden heart.
Some of the offerings on the Epic Games Store are up to 75% off. Notable titles with slashed prices include World War Z, The Walking Dead: The Final Season, Metro Exodus, Dangerous Driving, Darksiders 3, The Jackbox Games Collection, Vampyr, The Witness, Donut County, and What Remains of Edith Finch. But there are a bunch of others included in the deal as well.
As far as pre-purchase discounts go, there are nine on the site. Discounted unreleased games include Borderlands 3, John Wick: Hex, Afterparty, The Sinking City, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodline 2, Control, Trover Saves the Universe, Observation and Phoenix Point.
Epic also confirmed that Epic Games Store patrons who purchased a game just before the sale went live will be taken care of too. Those that bought a now on sale title between May 2nd and May 15th will be refunded the difference in price of what you paid and would have during the Epic Mega Sale.
The publisher did confirm that the Epic Games Store Epic Mega Sale is for games and not DLC. So you won’t be finding DLC packs at a discount or any deals on V-Bucks in the store. They did however note that their free game every two weeks program will be bolstered to now feature free game every week during the promotion.
The Epic Games Store Epic Mega Sale will run from today through June 13th. If you’ve yet to give Epic’s launcher a try, there appears to be no better time than now to get it a whirl.
