While talk of a Mario and Raving Rabbids crossover by Ubisoft popped up earlier this month on the list of planned games for the Nintendo Switch, many though that it was a mistake. However, that does not seem to be the case. Rather, there might be a turned-based RPG where the Rabbids enter the Mario world.
While it has not been officially announced, a new video about Ubisoft’s 30th Anniversary hints at the partnership, showing Mario, Luigi, and Toad with Rabbid ears. The video also shows how the company celebrating the anniversary in Paris which they hoped would give guests, fans, journalists, business partners, and others in attendance “a sneak peak of what will come next with game production”.
Along with this exciting hint, they showed a game with the Rabbids where they were throwing foam balls at smart boards, as well as concept art, sculptures from Watch Dogs 2, a stringed ensemble, stuffed animals, costuming, an amazing cake, comics, Assassin’s Creed weapons, a neat landscape lighting display, a rather unique piece of equipment that allows for them to create 3-D models rather quickly from real life objects and even humans, and staff with V.R. headsets on.
Additionally, the company has its 30 days of giveaways currently going on as the holidays approach. Those interested will need to log into their Ubisoft account and check out this calendar. The giveaways started on the 24th of this month and will continue until the 24th of December. Today’s free gift is their Rayman mobile game.
