In case you missed it in the super fast montage during the Nintendo presentation last night, Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers is coming to the Nintendo Switch.
The game will feature “a stellar line-up of characters, including all the original fighters and bosses, the characters added in Super Street Fighter II, plus new additions Evil Ryu and Violent Ken” and the ability to “choose between classic pixel-art graphics for a retro nostalgia trip, or enjoy a refined new modern look.”
In addition, you can “use the Joy-Con to challenge a second player anytime, anywhere. Pull off flashy super combos and show your opponent who the strongest is around” and “you can now team up with a friend to take on a CPU opponent together in the new Buddy Battle mode.”
Thus far, there is no release date but we hope to hear more from Nintendo or Capcom soon. Street Fighter will certainly work in compliment to Arms, one of Nintendo’s launch titles. I have been assured that no matter how weird it looks, it has been noted to be quite enjoyable to play. Or Street Fighter would work very well instead of Arms, as it does look like an odd game.
If you haven’t already pre-ordered your Nintendo Switch, it releases around the world on March 3 of this year. It’s going for $299.99 USD at the moment. Will you be getting this new Street Fighter for your Nintendo Switch? Let us know in the comments below!
