Worried you can only play Yooka-Laylee alone? Fear not! Yooka-Laylee multiplayer is coming in the form of Rextro’s Awesome Arcade Mini-Games.
As you can see, local multiplayer is back in a big way when the game launches April 11. By heading over to Rextro’s Arcade, players can find eight different mini-games to choose from. Up to four players can compete locally or they can be played solo for high scores on the leaderboards.
The eight Yooka-Laylee multiplayer mini-games span a variety of game styles. Fight in the Glaciators brawler arena to earn the most quills, race against each other in Kartos Karting, compete for the flag in Blag the Flag, shoot up enemies in Gun-let Run, and so much more. Whatever mini-game you fancy, you will find it in Rextro’s Arcade.

For anyone who finds the special play coins within Yooka-Laylee’s single-player campaign, the arcade cabinets within the book worlds will be powered up. Players will have a chance to play these games for some coveted pagies.
Mini-games aren’t the only way to play with you friends in Yooka-Laylee. A second player can join in for the main adventure by taking control of the Bee Team. The second player can grab quills and collect butterflies for when Yooka and Laylee are in need of some health. They can also stop some traps when the main team needs help crossing a tricky obstacle.
Playtonic Games has made sure that Yooka-Laylee is fun for one and fun for all. Check out the game on the platform of your choice when it releases April 11, and it’s one of our most anticipated games of 2017.
