My Nintendo Rewards Program Explained

my nintendo rewardsAfter the cancellation of Club Nintendo, fans have been wondering about the program’s successor. Details have finally emerged about the new My Nintendo rewards program.

We already knew that the new service uses both Gold and Platinum points, but now, thanks to IGN, we have a better idea about how they work. The service launches alongside Miitomo which is currently live in Japan.

Platinum points can be earned by performing daily and weekly activities on the Miitomo app. You’ll also gain points by signing into Miiverse, the Nintendo eShop, or by linking various social network accounts. Gold points can only be earned by purchasing Nintendo software just like with Club Nintendo.
