Rockstar Games has been steadily trickling out details on Red Dead Redemption 2 in anticipation of the game’s release later this month. After launch, Rockstar and Sony have worked out a deal to provide Red Dead Redemption 2 early access content. And today, they’ve detailed some of these timed exclusive items.
The Red Dead Redemption 2 early access content will be comprised of an outfit, a horse and saddle, and a revolver for PlayStation 4 owners. The outfit is named the Grizzlies Outlaw Outfit. Rockstar says that the garb “is perfect for exploring the forests of Ambarino.” Here’s how the developers describe the outfit:
“Featuring a wool-lined, long coat with custom, hand-tooled leather accents, a leather vest with ornate pattern details, stand wing-tip collar with black neckerchief, and custom ornate buckle with matching boot tips, the Grizzlies Outlaw Outfit pays homage to the ‘boss’ of the Northern States, its real-world inspiration.”
PlayStation 4 owners will have access to the Grizzlies Outlaw Outfit day one for the game’s story. It will also be available at launch for Red Dead Online.
The second set of timed exclusive items are the Red Chestnut Arabian Horse and the Alligator Skin Ranch Cutter Saddle. The Red Chestnut Arabian is a breed known for its speed and handling and is said to be a better steed than most you’ll find in the wild.
The Alligator Skin Ranch Cutter Saddle aids your horse when equipped. It provides health and stamina boosts, which in turn increases the speed and acceleration of the animal. Both the Red Chestnut Arabian Horse and the Alligator Skin Ranch Cutter Saddle will be available at the launch of Red Dead Online.
Finally, there’s a sweet revolver that’s part of the Red Dead Redemption 2 early access content. It’s dubbed the High Roller Double-Action Revolver. Rockstar describes it as having “a polished steel body with unique period-inspired, beautifully detailed engraving work.” The revolver also features “unique playing card and skull elements carved into the grip.”
The High Roller Double-Action Revolver isn’t all about good looks though. The gun sports a “superior, quick rate of fire over all other revolvers [which] makes it a great choice for mounted combat.”
Rockstar has confirmed that the Red Dead Redemption 2 early access content will be exclusive to the console for 30 days. Following that, Xbox One players will have access to the items as well. Only three weeks to go, partners. Red Dead Redemption 2 launches for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 26th.
