Unless you’re a Guardians of the Galaxy movie, Marvel soundtracks don’t exactly stand out. But with Black Panther hitting theaters in just over a month, movie studio is looking to change that by bringing in a big name.

Folks already know that Kendrick Lamar’s new single “All the Stars” is poised to be on the Black Panther soundtrack. But what became news today is that Lamar isn’t stopping at just one track.

Marvel Studios announced that Kendrick Lamar and Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith of Top Dawg Entertainment are teaming up to produce and curate Black Panther: The Album. The team will collaborate to compose songs inspired by the film, as well as work with the movie’s director to create new music “specific to the needs of the film.” Black Panther director, Ryan Coogler, specifically sought out Lamar to handle the film’s soundtrack.

This sort of collaboration is a first for Marvel Studios. And Kendrick Lamar couldn’t be happier to be a part of it:

“Marvel Studios’ Black Panther is amazing, from its cast to its director. The magnitude of this film showcases a great marriage of art and culture. I’m truly honored to contribute my knowledge of producing sound and writing music alongside Ryan and Marvel’s vision.”

Coogler attached Lamar’s track “DNA” to the Comic-Con footage that was shown in 2016. He knew then he wanted Lamar officially onboard:

“I am honored to be working with such an incredible artist whose work has been so inspirational, and whose artistic themes align with those we explore in the film. I can’t wait for the world to hear what Kendrick and TDE have in store.”

Kendrick Lamar isn’t just a popular hip-hop artist, he’s an acclaimed one too, earning numerous Grammy Awards and nominations. Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith is renowned as well, earning himself the award for Billboard Magazine’s Executive of the Year.

Black Panther hits theaters on February 16th.
