Another big movie trailer has been premiered on late night television, as our very first Doctor Strange trailer premiered last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Benedict Cumberbatch, who plays the titular role in the upcoming Marvel movie, took to late night television to premiere his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut.
Doctor Strange will follow the origin story of a man who becomes a sorcerer to defend the world against evil (specifically, Mads Mikkelsen in this case) after his career as a surgeon is destroyed.
Although this is Doctor Strange’s film debut, he has been teased in a few Marvel films previously, dating back to 2011’s Thor in which the Orb of Agamotto (a mystical orb from the Doctor Strange comics) is seen in Odin’s treasure chamber.
The film will also star Chiwetel Ejiofor, Tilda Swinton, Rachel McAdams and Mads Mikkelsen. The superhero movie is being directed by Scott Derrickson, the man behind Sinister and Deliver Us From Evil.
The Doctor Strange release date is currently set for November 4, 2016, and we’ll certainly keep you posted on any news that pops up beforehand.
