After the first trailer in December, director of the film Alien: Covenant Ridley Scott has been more than happy to share various screen shots. As usual to Scott’s film style for the Alien series, most are creepy with sexual themes sprinkled in for fun. One more screen shot has been added, though it doesn’t have any sprinkles. This shot reveals the entire cast in costume on set, standing around what appears to be the space ship’s conference room table. Complete with blue lighting so that you may never read while looking down. Unless all your space-age reading material is light lettering printed on a dark background.
The film in certainly star-studded, including Michael Fassbender, who reprises his role from Prometheus, alongside Katherine Waterston (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them), Billy Crudup (Watchmen), Demian Bichir (The Hateful Eight), Danny McBride (Eastbound & Down), and James Franco (Spring Breakers).
The film comes out May 19 2017 and just as Scott stated in an interview with Digital Spy, Alien: Covenant is going to answer a lot discrepancies in the series, like “where [the aliens] came from in the three subsequent movies.” I can’t wait to see more of Scott’s work and Alien: Covenant seems like it might even top the previous films in the series, though perhaps not the very first. Alien has moved itself into the classic film genre and there’s simply no topping that. Do you think Alien: Covenant is going to be any good? Or will it just rehash the usual story?
