Joining Iwan Rheon for Inhumans TV series, comes Anson Mount (Hell on Wheels). According to Marvel news, Mount will be playing the role of “Black Bolt, the enigmatic, commanding King of the Inhumans, with a voice so powerful that the slightest whisper can destroy a city.”
A completely silent character certainly sounds like a challenge, but Mount seems to be up for it, as Marvel TV head and executive producer Jeph Loeb states “Anson loves the challenge of playing a character who will only communicate silently. His enthusiasm mixed with his imposing almost regal persona made it easy to see why he is our Black Bolt.” Executive producer and showrunner Scott Buck vouches for Mount as well, citing Black Bolt’s “deep complexity” that “must be conveyed without uttering a single word” and how Mount will “bring [Black Bolt] to life.”
If you want to catch this show early, the first two episodes “will premiere exclusively in IMAX theatres for a two-week window in September 2017” before they come on the ABC channel. The show has eight episodes planned so far, and will be produced by Scott Buck, along with Jeph Loeb (Daredevil) and Jim Chory (Daredevil). And thus far, Roel Reine (Admiral) will direct the first two episodes.
