Batman: Hush Trailer Brings the Infamous Comic to Life

With the animated movie heading for a digital and Blu-ray release later this summer, Warner Bros. Animation and DC decided it was time to finally get us a Batman: Hush trailer. And after viewing it, we see how much danger the Dark Knight is in thanks to a long held vendetta.

If you’re unaware of Jeph Loeb’s 2002 to 2003 comic, Batman: Hush revolves around a mysterious stalker of Batman’s named Hush who is intent on sabotaging Gotham’s hero.

The Batman: Hush trailer seems to indicate that the film with stick close to its comic counterpart and begins with Batman chasing Catwoman on the rooftops of Gotham. During the story, the duo are in a relationship. A very complicated relationship due to Selina Kyle’s on again, off again relationship with crime.

We then cut to Poison Ivy being confronted by the duo. She asks Selina if Batman is her new “boy toy” before revealing “I have one too” as Superman bursts through a wall. Ivy has control over Superman, which sends Batman and Catwoman running from his heat vision.

Ivy and Superman are eventually stopped, leading to Ivy explaining that “none of this is my fault. He made me control Superman.” After Batman asks, she then tells Bruce “He calls himself Hush.”

The Batman: Hush trailer then takes us inside the Batcave as Batman and Nightwing review the case. “The events of the past months reach as high as Superman and as low as the Joker,” Bruce says. “All were set into motion by Hush.”

We then get a scope of the character’s reach, as the villain has been using the likes of Superman, Ivy, Joker, Harley Quinn, Scarecrow and Riddler to get to the Caped Crusader. And those are just what’s on display within the Batman: Hush trailer. Casting also confirms that we’ll be seeing Lois Lane, Lex Luthor, Damian Wayne/Robin, Alfred, Amanda Waller, Bane and Lady Shiva in some capacity.

An exact release date hasn’t been announced yet, but Warner Bros. Animation and DC stated Batman: Hush will be arriving later this summer. Luckily we’ll have Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to help alleviate the wait.
