Annabelle Comes Home Trailer Is Here to Possess Us All

The Conjuring universe continues on with this summer’s Annabelle Comes Home. Today, we get our best look yet at the third film in the Annabelle series, as Warner Bros. have dropped a new Annabelle Comes Home trailer to tease the demonic doll’s next chapter.

The Annabelle Comes Home trailer shows us that the titular doll is now in the possession of the Ed and Lorraine Warren. The demonologist duo are bringing the doll home so they can lock it behind religiously blessed glass in order to prevent its escape.

Warner Bros. published a plot breakdown with the trailer’s release, saying, “Determined to keep Annabelle from wreaking more havoc, demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren bring the possessed doll to the locked artifacts room in their home, placing her “safely” behind sacred glass and enlisting a priest’s holy blessing.  But an unholy night of horror awaits as Annabelle awakens the evil spirits in the room, who all set their sights on a new target—the Warrens’ ten-year-old daughter, Judy, and her friends.”

“The evil is contained” we hear in the early stages of the Annabelle Comes Home trailer. But all it takes is for a couple of nosey babysitters to begin snooping around for chaos to ensue. “Don’t your parents keep any creepy stuff around?” one of them asks. They then convince Judy to get the key, allowing the duo access to the locked room that has warnings plastered all over it.

Obviously things do not go well for Mckenna Grace’s Judy Warren or her babysitters from there. The doll is set free and becomes a ring leader of sorts for all the other evil entities laying dormant until now. The Warren’s home truly becomes a house of horrors.

Why the Warren’s would allow a babysitter to enter their home which features demonic artifacts is a valid question. Yet not one we’re concerned with as the bad decision leads to great horror movie fodder. We’ll see how it all plays out on the big screen when Annabelle Comes Home hits theaters on June 26th.
