Rambo: Last Blood Trailer Promises Death is Coming

After a will they or won’t they back and forth over the the last few years between Sylvester Stallone and the studios of Lionsgate and Millennium Media, it’s official that they will. We have our first Rambo: Last Blood trailer to tease the end of the iconic franchise.

Within the Rambo: Last Blood trailer, we see the veteran seemingly resting easy at his country home. Set to a remixed version of Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” featuring Billy Ray Cyrus, everything seems just peachy until what appears to be some private militia shows up.

We have no reason who or why they’re coming after Rambo, but the character has made plenty of enemies over the last three decades plus. Lionsgate and Millennium Media’s description of the plot doesn’t help much either.

It reads, “Almost four decades after he drew first blood, Sylvester Stallone is back as one of the greatest action heroes of all time, John Rambo. Now, Rambo must confront his past and unearth his ruthless combat skills to exact revenge in a final mission. A deadly journey of vengeance, Rambo: Last Blood marks the last chapter of the legendary series.”

Throughout the Rambo: Last Blood trailer we here the character monologue over scenes from his western home. “I’ve lived in a world of death. I’ve watched people I’ve loved die. Some fast with a bullet. Some not enough left to bury. All these years I’ve kept my secrets. But the time has come to face my past.”

The action begins to pick-up across various set pieces as these fools come to take Rambo down. He’s certainly not going down without a fight though, continuing “And if it comes looking for me, they will welcome death.”

The end of the Rambo: Last Blood trailer does seemingly want to convey that this will be the end for the character. He says, “I want them to know that death is coming. And there is nothing they can do to stop it.” But as he’s saying it Rambo too is badly bloodied, perhaps indicating that no one will be making it out alive.

Rambo: Last Blood, “the last chapter of the legendary series”, arrives September 20th. For other movie news while we await Rambo’s return, checkout our dedicated movie hub here.
