The Empty Man movie has found its leading man! Supernatural star James Badge Dale is set to play the titular character in Fox’s upcoming movie.
The report comes to us from The Hollywood Reporter. If you haven’t heard of the original comic book series from Boom! Studios, it focuses on an ex-cop. He suffers from guilt over the violent deaths of his wife and son. Now, while searching for a missing girl, he uncovers a supernatural presence around him.
Directing the movie is David Britten Prior. His script is also expected to take some departures from the original story by Cullen Bunn. This is the first movie to stem from the first-look deal that Boom! has with Fox.
Filming for The Empty Man movie is aiming for a Fall start in South Africa.
Dale has previously been on screen in Michael Bay’s 13 Hours and Robert Zemeckis’ The Walk. He is best known for his roles on TV shows like Rubicon and The Pacific.
