The upcoming Disney adaptation of A Wrinkle in Time has finally found its director. Director of Selma, Ava DuVernay, will be taking the helm.
In a report on Variety, it was announced that DuVernay is officially on board with Frozen co-writer Jennifer Lee handling the script.
A Wrinkle in Time is a classic science fantasy novel from the 1960s. It is the first of a four-part series from author Madeleine L’Engle. This story centers around a young girl named Meg. Following the mysterious disappearance of her scientist father, her search will take her through time and to other worlds.
Funny enough, the upcoming Disney movie may not be DuVernay’s only upcoming movie. She is also in talks to direct the sci-fi thriller Intelligent Life. This movie is expected to star Lupita Nyong’o from 12 Years a Slave.
