16 Best MMOs: The Ultimate List (2020)

Orcs, magic, and space adventures with hundreds of our closest friends.

Netflix 2016We’ve already noted how we think Netflix has become the king of TV, and now we’ve got another reason to add to the list: we’ll see 31 Netflix original series in 2016.

According to the company’s head of content Ted Sarandos, who spoke at the UBS Media Conference in NYC Monday, Netflix is planning to nearly double the number of original shows it produces next year. What’s more, there will be 10 feature films, 12 documentaries, 10 stand-up specials and the addition of 30 children’s programs.

The shift will put Netflix right in line with the big dogs of TV, Showtime and HBO, when it comes to TV series per year, at least. Meanwhile, Netflix had its biggest year to date in 2015, reaching over 69 million subscribers worldwide by Q3 2015. The company’s original shows of 2015 included Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, BoJack Horseman, Master of Noneand Sense8 to name a few of the service’s incredible offerings.

Hopefully, we will get more of the details about what Netflix is planning in 2016, but we currently know that they have Fuller HouseFrontierStranger Things, and Luke Cage planned for 2016.
