It looks like Creed star Tessa Thompson will take her career to superhero movies, as she’ll not only join Thor: Ragnarok, but will also appear in other future Marvel movies as well.
According to Deadline, Thompson will appear as a “kind of superhero” in the third Thor film before appearing in other Marvel films in the future. There’s no official character description for Tessa’s character just yet, but at least we know she’ll play a hero of sorts.
A secondary source, over at THR, notes that former female lead Natalie Portman won’t be returning.
Thompson has appeared in numerous top-notch films, including Selma and Dear White People. She’ll soon be seen in HBO’s Westworld, the western series inspired by Michael Crichton’s novel, which just recently resumed production. Starting in June, Thompson will start filming for Thor 3.
Thor: Ragnarok is currently slated for November 3, 2017. It’s directed by Taika Waititi and stars Tom Hiddleston, Chris Hemsworth and Jaimie Alexander. Stay tuned to Nerd Much for more updates on Thor’s third outing.
