Rocket League, your favorite car soccer game, is officially introducing Hot Wheels to the roster of Battle-Cars to chose from. Out on February 21st, they’ve “transformed two of the most legendary models into Battle-Cars, ‘Twin Mill III’ and ‘Bone Shaker'” into “rocket-powered” cars “ready for Beckwith Park (and every other Arena), with exclusive wheels and six decals for $1.99 USD.”
Pretty cheap, that’s for sure. In addition, “all players — even those who don’t purchase the Hot Wheels DLC — can find a free Hot Wheels Antenna and Topper, “Treasure Hunt” flag, and “Shark Bite” Topper as random post-match drops in the forthcoming update.”
For those that don’t know, Rocket League is a game developed by Psyonix that uses cars to play soccer and, according to its Steam page, “equips players with booster-rigged vehicles that can be crashed into balls for incredible goals or epic saves across multiple, highly-detailed arenas. Using an advanced physics system to simulate realistic interactions, Rocket League relies on mass and momentum to give players a complete sense of intuitive control in this unbelievable, high-octane re-imagining of association football.”
More From Nerd Much?:
It’s a dream come true for some folk, to finally have their childhood favorite toys in a video game. Though all I see is product placement and an excuse to sell more toys based on the game for kids. But if you love this game, you can finally look forward to Hot Wheels being a part of the roster.
