The developers refer to Blackroom as “a visceral, varied and violent shooter that harkens back to classic FPS play with a mixture of exploration, speed, and intense, weaponized combat.” Combat is set in a “holographic simulation gone-rogue.
When the game releases, the aim is to have a single-player campaign and multiple multiplayer modes. These include, but are not limited to, co-op, 1-on-1 deathmatch, and an arena-based free-for-all across six different maps. Additionally, the creators are promising that community made maps and mods will be supported.
The game is being developed by Night Work Games which is the “dark and violent” subsidiary of Romero Games.
