This Warcraft movie promo sounds almost too good to be true! Killing two birds with one stone, those who watch the movie will get a free copy of World of Warcraft.
Blizzard announced today that all around the world, participating theaters will be giving out free digital copies of their hit MMO. In America, the theaters include Regal Cinemas, United Artists Theaters, and Edwards Theaters. Additionally, if you are a member of the Regal Crown Club, you will be entered to win two tickets to BlizzCon 2016.
Because World of Warcraft is a subscription-based game, it is interesting that the promotion only mentions game time in the Latin America: Brazil region. There, the game includes “30 days of game time.” With those words not mentioned anywhere else, it will be interesting to see what the final offer is.
It is interesting to think about what a promo like this might mean. Is Blizzard worried about Warcraft failing? Or are they trying to get people to play a game that has been fading from people’s minds since the latest expansion. Whatever the case may be, the offer certainly is intriguing.
