Now with Horizon Zero Dawn delayed into next year, 2016 is looking slightly less magical. Hopefully the extra time allows it to be a truly great game.
According to a post on the Playstation Blog, Guerrilla Games had to make the tough call. Specifically, it was managing director Hermen Hulst who wrote, “It wasn’t an easy choice to make; we know many of you have been anxious to play the game since we first announced it. However, we also want to ensure that Horizon Zero Dawn lives up to the visuals and gameplay quality that our games are known for. The new date affords us the extra time required to deliver fully on our ambitious vision for Horizon Zero Dawn.”
More From Nerd Much?:
Hearing that Horizon Zero Dawn delayed out of 2016 definitely worried us at first. Luckily, the new projected release date is February 28, 2017. We won’t have to wait very long either.
Just like Yooka-Laylee earlier today, hearing that Horizon Zero Dawn delayed to 2017 is made much better thanks to an incredible story trailer. Any fears we may have had are all squashed now. This game can take all the time in the world, just as long as it comes out and performs well. Expect many more details in just one week when E3 2016 rolls around!
