Outlast 2 Release Delayed to Early 2017

outlast 2 releaseThe sequel to one of 2013’s biggest indie games, Outlast, has been delayed.

It appears as though Outlast 2 has been delayed to early 2017, according to a post on the official Red Barrels Studio Facebook page.

The post notes that the team wants to ensure that they’re delivering the “best, most terrifying, most fulfilling experiences possible”, which is why they’ve decided to take more time to develop Outlast 2.

While the delay is unfortunate, we’re never ones to complain about a game being delayed for quality assurance purposes; it’ll only make the game better.

Outlast 2 will take place in the Arizona desert, where you, Blake Langermann, and your wife, Lynn, will investigate the murder of an unknown pregnant woman only known as Jane Doe.

Now, the horror game will release in Q1 2017 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. We’ll be sure to add it to our list of the most anticipated upcoming games of 2017.
