A PS4 Neo reveal may be coming next month if multiple reports are to be believed. Apparently, Sony will have a “technical showcase” in New York on September 7.
Before E3, it was already announced that the upcoming console upgrade was coming. Sadly, Sony decided to hold off on an official PS4 Neo reveal.
According to both Gameblog and Vice Gaming, there are multiple anonymous sources informing them of the showcase. Vice Gaming goes further to say that Sony was still deciding what will be shown just a few weeks ago. Around this time, final development kits for the PS4 Neo should be sent out.
The Neo was surprisingly withheld from the Sony E3 Conference because, “We want to ensure we have a full range of the best experiences on the new system that we can showcase in their entirety,” says Sony Interactive Entertainment president Andrew House.
Rumors have been circling that the console would make its reveal during September’s Tokyo Game Show, but now it seems like this other event will make the PS4 Neo reveal instead.
The Neo will supposedly offer more processing power. Future games will work for both versions of the PS4, so there is no need to feel left behind.
