No Man’s Sky Update Will Make Players “Very Happy”

no man's sky updateNo Man’s Sky update will be making players “very happy” according to creator Sean Murray. Additionally, some future updates might not be free.

According to Daily Star Online, Murray is no longer ruling out paid DLC. “Maybe in the future there’s some reason why we just couldn’t possibly afford to do a certain feature without charging for it,” says Murray.

Previously, interviews revealed that, “there will be no paid DLC.” Even on release day, Murray still stated this as his intention. However, his recent interview with Daily Star suggests that while he is still aiming for free DLC, there may be a situation in which they will need to charge for a No Man’s Sky update.

Additionally, Murray spoke up about how an upgraded console like the PS4 Neo could significantly affect No Man’s Sky. “For our game, it’s procedurally generated,” he says.  “So more powerful hardware doesn’t just mean upgraded textures or a higher frame-rate. It means we can fundamentally change the experience.”

Currently, developer Hello Games is testing a new patch for PC and PS4. While this No Man’s Sky update is still a mystery, Murray expects it to make “some people very happy.” With a QA team bigger than the entire development team, we imagine great things.
